What is the Online File Transcription Tool?
Our File Transcription utility is a local, client-side document and media reader. It enables you to instantly load raw text content from `.txt`, `.md`, `.json`, `.rtf`, or `.csv` files. Furthermore, it supports audio/video files (like `.mp3`, `.wav`, `.m4a`, or `.mp4`), leveraging native browser speech engines to run automated audio-to-text transcriptions.
No server uploads or external API requests are made. All file reading, audio decoding, and text mapping happens entirely inside your sandbox browser instance, ensuring that private documents and audio records remain completely private and offline.
How to upload and transcribe files:
- Drag and drop your file directly into the dotted area of the editor canvas above.
- Alternatively, click the Choose File link inside the upload panel to browse your system folders.
- Once imported, text files will immediately show their contents. Audio/video files will trigger speech-to-text extraction.
- Use any formatting casing tools (like lowercase, Title Case, or Sentence case) to adjust the text results.
