What is the Undo/Redo Local History Tool?
Our Local History tool is a built-in state tracker designed to backup edits automatically as you type. It supports up to 50 levels of undo and redo steps, saving you from accidental deletion, styling mistakes, or unwanted casing swaps.
All changes are tracked securely in-memory inside your browser tab session. No keystroke logging, character indexing, or text logs are uploaded to any network servers, keeping your documents completely private.
How to use the local Undo/Redo history:
- Type or paste your text content in the editor canvas above.
- Perform a format transformation (such as clicking UPPERCASE or Sentence case).
- To revert the change, click the Undo arrow button in the toolbar, or press the hotkey Ctrl + Z (Cmd + Z on Mac).
- To re-apply the change, click the Redo arrow button in the toolbar, or press the hotkey Ctrl + Y (Cmd + Shift + Z on Mac).
